Michael Doherty is President of Building Maintenance Service (BMS) of Vornado Realty Trust and has over 35 years of experience in the building service industry. Since 1998, he has run all operations for BMS and is currently responsible for janitorial, security, architectural restoration (Metal-Brite) and window cleaning services managing more than 2,800 employees.

Mr. Doherty earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from The City College of New York.

Juan Francisco is Executive Vice President of Building Maintenance Service (BMS), of which Metal-Brite is a division. Juan began his career at BMS as a staff supervisor in 1987. Juan has gained increasing responsibility throughout the years as he has risen through the ranks. He has a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the industry and is a role model for our employees. Juan has a BAS in industrial engineering from CUNY.

Juan is client focused and solutions driven. He has been instrumental in building long lasting partnerships with our valued clients in the New York region, and has driven growth not only in the commercial real estate market, but in other verticals such as Education, Institutional and Five-star Hospitality. Juan’s creativity in developing “outside the box” solutions to solve client challenges continues to be a tremendous asset to the organization and our clients.

Juan has multiple industry certifications, including his Fire Safety Director certification, GS-42 and GS-37 (Green Seal) certifications. He is a member of the board for DGA, USA, a non-profit golf association that establishes mentorship programs and aid for underprivileged children in the United States and the Dominican Republic.

John Shea is the Operations Manager for Metal Brite. He has been with the company since 1999 and is in charge of all facets of running the business, including general operations, staff management and new business development.

John is a veteran of the building restoration industry, with over a decade of industry experience before he came to Metal Brite. He started his career as a field technician and gained increasing responsibilities as he advanced. John has obtained industry trainings and certifications and has excelled at on-the-job learning.

John intimately understands the intricacies of working with stone, metal and marble. He is well-versed in both client and city requirements for our work, and is a tremendous resource for our clients as well as our staff.

Brian Becker is Director of Operations for Metal Brite’s New York region. Brian has been in the industry for over three decades. He began his career at Beacon Metal and Marble Maintenance Inc. as a field supervisor and manager. He then joined Nulife Metal and Marble Systems as a managing partner and director of operations, after which he became vice president and director of operations for Restoration Specialty Services LLC. In 2007 he launched Versatile Specialty Services Corporation, a construction and maintenance company. Most recently, Brian was Vice President Operations at REMCO Maintenance where he oversaw the metal stone and wood restoration of the Met Bruer Museum. Brian joined Metal Brite in 2017.

Brian’s extraordinary industry experience make him an ideal fit for his role at Metal Brite, where he is in charge of business development, customer relations and overseeing field operations in both New York and Washington D.C.

Brian has worked on a variety of complex projects in notable buildings such as the Empire State Building, the Library Hotel, St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 63 and 67 Wall Street and many more. Brian is a certified stone restoration specialist of the national training center for stone and masonry trades.
